Abstract Submission

Our members are the backbone of the Congress program.  The valuable contributions of your abstract submissions steer the direction of the main Congress themes.  Your research, ideas and unique perspectives make for an impressive program line-up year after year.

Late breaking abstract submission opens on 4th April and closes on 25th April, 2022

Submission Categories

ISEK is pleased to announce the call for submission of Abstracts, and proposals for Symposia and Workshops for the upcoming XXIV ISEK Congress, to be held in Quebec City, June 22 – 25, 2022 Submissions related to electrophysiology, kinesiology and the study of movement are invited under the following categories:

Individual Abstracts

The ISEK Congress offers presentations in both Oral and Poster formats. Submission of abstracts describing original research in the areas of electrophysiology, kinesiology and human movement are welcomed.  Abstracts aligned with one of the Congress themes are particularly encouraged.

Symposia are thematically organized sessions that will be held during the main portion of the conference.  Symposia sessions will include 15-minute presentations by up to 5 individual speakers that offer unique perspectives on a specific central theme, followed by a moderated scientific exchange involving the audience.  Symposia should be aimed at researchers who have some familiarity with the topic to facilitate in-depth discussion.  The symposium session should not exceed 1 hour and 30 minutes and should allow for sufficient time for the moderated discussion.

Pre-conference Workshops

Pre-conference workshops will be hosted on Wednesday June 22.  Workshops should be accessible to researchers who may not be familiar with the topic and should begin with an introduction to the topic before progressing to more advanced material.  Proposals for workshops incorporating tutorials aimed at students and early stage researchers are particularly encouraged.  Each workshop will run for 90 minutes – 4 hours, with parallel sessions in the morning and afternoon.

Late breaking posters

The ISEK Congress is happy to announce late breaking poster submissions. Late breaking poster submissions are intended to provide an opportunity for researchers who’s data was not available by the initial deadline.  Submissions should not include work previously presented or published previously and are not intended to accommodate researchers who missed the original deadline.
